hornady 225gr ftx in ruger american ranch rifle

Anyone been shooting hornady 225gr ftx in ruger american ranch rifle ? If so what results have you had with these bullets ??/ accuracy, grouping etc.

I should have asked the results from hornday 225gr ftx in any 450 bushmaster rifles.

I like the 225 ftx. I get good accuracy on a light plinking load. They are cheaper then the 250 and 200 ftx, but not as much as say fmj pistol bullets. Accuracy is better then the fmj’s, though. I really like them after I bought some pulls for almost half of what new go for. :D

Without a doubt, the most accurate bullet in my AR based 450's using a 1:24 twist barrel. Midway has kinda wised up to our tricks and I'm not seeing the deep discounted FTX bullets like I used to. That' not to say that there wont be some popping up anymore but, its sure not like it was in the past. One of my regrets was not gorging my stash back when blems and bulk deals were more frequently available around $15/100. Then again that's often how deals go. When they're available, its usually when disposable income is a a low point. Image

They shoot great for many folks, self included.
