According to Hornady, the only difference is the packaging.
every couple years the marketing department decides to change the packaging from basic brown & red.
before the black series - it was the ZOMBIE MAX! loads....
which just like the black use the exact same bullets, brass, primers, powder and pressure specs as the regular "custom" ammo does. with the ZMAX they did go a bit over the top and change the tip color to zombie green for better marketing effect.
