Midway Starline 450b Brass

Postby Hoot » Thu Jan 03, 2019 9:17 am

On sale for $30.59/50

The lowest price for 50 that I could currently find in stock on the web but I didn't look too hard.

I get home first, never a problem. ;) Besides we each have our own "slush fund" account for hobbies and interests. That's where our overtime lands. The shared "Budget" account is for bills. Touch that and die! Too bad as that's where the big money lies. :|

Tell your wife, that here in Finland those costs 130€/100pcs. (About $150) Hornady is 94€/50pcs.. I would gladly pay $1 for brass if someone would send those for me from there.

unfortunately, due to export restrictions (ITAR) on military related products - its not really feasible to do so without some relatively expensive paperwork with uncle sam. which is why 'common' brass - and other military/firearm related stuff - here is so expensive when we ship it out to other nations. even friendly's.

and its not worth trying to be sneaky about it either. if you get busted by customs shipping it, you get a one time "oops i didnt know" get out of jail free card (goojfc for short) - which requires a signed affidavit saying you understand that this is your once and only GOOJFC and then face some serious financial penalty's for future violations. Civil penalty's max out at $500k, and criminal violations can result in penalty's up to $1m and as much as 10 years wearing a lovely striped jumpsuit and paper slippers.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but i've been down that road already, and my G00JFC got used up trying to help a buddy down in NZ with some LC762 brass he wanted to convert to 7mm08. at least they let me get my brass back.

Back in 2013, when we had that big, black follower group buy, one of the members who ordered some was in Germany. I went ahead and shipped them to him, without regard to the legality. Declared them simply as "plastic followers" The last I heard from him, they were stuck in customs. He is still active here, so I PM'd here 5 1/2 years after the fact to see if he ever got them. :|

Thanks for reminding me. Better late than never...

In EU things are easy in some point. In Finland we need license for certain parts of rifle, powder, primers and ready made ammo. Rest you can order straight from any EU country. Difficulty is that all countries have own language, so it's really hard to find stuff. Hornady dies are right now either sold out or really expensive here. So if anyone knows decent shop in EU, please tell..
