In regards to the AR, a taller gas check is required. Maybe 0.125 inches tall instead of 0.062. The check has to be longer than the diameter of the gas hole. If there was such a check, I might be interested in cast bullets again. On the other hand, what about the coated bullets?

FYI, nearly last call here: This mold is going to the maker shortly for cutting.

Its purpose built for the Bushy.

I have received my mold last week and cast some in deep HP and CUP HP versions.

Last night I powder coated some then sized and gas checked a few. CUP points got clear and the DEEP got blue.

I made one dummy, seated long same as I do the 300FTX. And it chambered slick as can be!

Range trip Sunday afternoon. Shooting 5744 and my bullets W/deep hp. Weighing 265g went into 1.25 ish group @ 100yards. (5 rounds)

Need to chrony this one. I fear its slow as recoil was less. Im not looking for top vel. 1800 ish will do me just fine here.
