Here's an excellent one for a very reasonable price on Ebay. Link

Its the same model I use.

I can't believe no one here has scarfed this excellent deal since I posted it. If its not gone by this evening, I will buy it as a backup to the identical one I have and swear by.

if i didnt already have a semi-decent 1-2" digital i would have. i verified them on known diameter 0.3750 round stock i have (my uncle made at work for me for checking calibration on my calipers before he passed away) and it was only off by +0.0001 so i figure its close enough to be a keeper - for chinesium anyway!

Friend of mine just got a 450 BM.. The Ruger Scout 6837. It has a 16" barrel with 1-16 twist like the Ruger American. He wants me to reload for him..

Thinking of starting out with the Speer 300 deep curl as I've had good luck with deep curls in my 444 (yes, different diameter & weight). I've seen a few posts about poor accuracy with this bullet. How are yours grouping from the Ruger American?

What are you using for a COAL for the Speer deep curls?

I have some H110 I'll try first.. then maybe get some Lil gun, or other..

Thanks!

We've been struggling to put a good sting of consistent accurate shots together with the heavier bullets, be the Hornady's, and now the Speers. I think we've only done testing with Lil Gun for powder for the heavy pills, and by the research I'm doing, i think i might have to switch up the powder brand.
