Measure oal from ogive?

Do you need to use a comparator for reloading the .450 bushmaster in a bolt gun and is there a .452 available ?

No, not really that critical a caliber and I don't know anyone who loads into the lands. I just keep a "distance to lands" list for each bullet I use with the 450b. I just make sure the COL is at least .05 below the limit. The Hornady 300gr XTP Mag is the only bullet I ever used that would reach the lands before hitting 2.26 COL. Then again, that was for an AR platform. I'd imagine that if I had 2.40 or more to work with, other bullets would be into the lands as well. I have experimented with trying to tune the load for max accuracy using different seating depths and never saw an appreciable change worth pursuing.
