Primers

Postby Swamp Rat » Fri Sep 27, 2019 6:07 pm

My current load for my 450 is 39g H110 using WSR primers, shoots wonderful in this weather but last fall was having problems with hang fires. Was going to try CCI 450 primers since it’s the only mag primer we can get around here. How much should I reduce my load to keep from running into pressure problems? Thanks

I would keep the same charge.

With Hoot, charge is good, make sure you have a good crimp, might want to try seating some without using the expander die just so there is more neck tension.

Tried the CCI 450’s and between that and snugging the crimp a bit more everything seems to be more instantaneous upon firing. Thanks everyone
