Greetings shooters,
Anyone find a good load in 450 BM with Hornady 240 XTP MAG H110 or W296.
I did a work up and 40.5 296 with the Bullet seated midway through the cannelure is about a 2 inch 100 yard group.
35.8 is a ragged hole at 100 yards but is at the bottom edge of the charge range and gives a huge fireball.
Please post your results so I can get an idea on whether to go higher or look to a different powder bullet combo.

I played with those few years ago in my 16" Bushey, went up to 40gr Lilgun and 42gr H110 and 2" was the normal. They didn't shoot much better in the AR10 45 Raptor when I tried them either, so just chalked it up to the bullet.
Now the 300gr version shoots great and is my pet load for the Bushey.

Same experience in a 20" Bushy.

In Theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In Practice, there is.
