400gr cast lead bullets, SWC Keith style.
29gr of IMR4227 netted 1520fps avg vel and appr .5" @ 50.
Recoil was a gentle push.
Need to tune the load a little and stretch it to at least 100-200 yards but feel pretty confident with it for a whitetail load.
@ 200 yards will be hitting with appr 1k ft/lbs.
While at the range confirmed that the 300gr XTP load is still minute of gong to 300 as a backup.
