Cutting edge 250 grain Maximus bullets

Postby Cat Power » Tue Aug 25, 2020 5:03 am

I have been viewing this forum for a couple months and so I registered. I am also new to the .450 Bushmaster.

I live in Michigan zone 3 area and have been using a .357 Max TC Encore since straight wall cartridges became legal. I recently had an opportunity to have a .450BM barrel built on my Blaser R93 bolt rifle, so now I'm trying to find a all around bullet to load.

I bought 100 of the 250 grain Maximus bullets from CEB during their current on going 20% off sale. I have lots of Lil' Gun powder so I was wondering if anyone has a load they recommend?

I recently bought a 4 die Lee set, and I really like

thank you

For lower velocity, but lots of power, try 14.7 g / Trail Boss with Hornady 230gr XTP.

I'm sorry, I can't figure out how to post a photo on here. I put a photo on Michigan Sportsman forum site.

That's a wicked looking hollow point. A little bigger than the 200 and 275 XPB's I shot awhile back. It would be interesting to see a "water shot" bullet to compare to the XPB's in This Thread.
