Has anyone here ever loaded any of them for the 450 Bushmaster? Would you recommend H110 or LIL' GUN? Rifle is an AR platform using the Hornady 4 die set with new Starline brass and Winchester small rifle primers. Thanks!

Where did you find those??

Personal pick would be H110/296.

Found a guy online selling them. Should I order more? Are they hard to find, or just really good bullets?

I have only used the 400gr .500 bullets in one of my bolt gun creations. Accurate and devastating on the deer shot with them.

Never seen the 45cal version available and if you don't mind sharing where you found them, I might give them a whirl in my 16" Bushey or #1, possibly the 45 Raptor.

Here's a Link to a technical review, albeit from a muzzle loading point of view.

Good read.

At 64 cents each, they are expensive as for plated bullets. They are available from the seller in larger quantities according to the gunbroker link.

They are a heavy jacketed bullet, not the thin plated pistol bullets.

The plating is silver, not sure what it really is. I have a cut away of a one someplace I'll look for.

This is a 400gr .500 Winchester Platinum. They loaded it in the 500S&W and I'm pretty sure they had it in a 12ga sabot slug. I'm also pretty sure that 260gr was loaded in their 20ga sabot slug.

The jacket is copper or gliding metal and very thick. The way the jacket reverses towards the bottom will keep the core locked to the jacket almost eliminating the chance for core jacket separation.
