Bullets for deer

Would you hunt deer with these? Sometimes you have to get what’s available- but it still has to work or it’s not worth it.

I've been tempted to try them. I've never seen a hair report on them thou.

They might do alright. They also have some .452 muzzle loader bullets that have some positive reviews on game, that would work in the 450.

Very interesting bullets. I've found a few fired ones at the club range in what appeared to be 38 caliber and they looked like they could be reloaded and fired again.

This is just an opinion: For self defense, an extreme tissue cavitation projectile makes sense. For eatin' meat, I'm not so sure. I do know that the 245gr, Brass, Xtreme Penetrators hold my personal record for the most accurate projectiles that I've ever shot from a 450b. If I were just a near-side shoulder buster, I'd go with the Xtreme Penetrators. Less cavitation than the Xtreme Defense version, which I have not tested for accuracy. My gut feeling is that either will get the job done quite well.

Of course, the old adage that "you go to war with the army that you have" applies more now than ever, in terms of reloading supplies.

Are there any other options available for reliable deer bullets for the 450 Bushmaster?

I have had good luck with 275 xpb ‘s. Last 2 years I have shot 3 deer. Medium doe through and through heart shot. Big doe through and through lung shot. 170 and 120 yards respectively iirc. 40 yard buck, shot a little rearward and I hit right about the diaphragm and jellied a lot of organs. Went about 100 yards before he laid down and died in about 20 minutes.
