Ok this is a multi part question first according to specs 450bm can handle higher pressures than the socom why is there a lack of heavier reloads for the 450 ?
secondly in a 308 bolt action length mag what's the possibilities of a heavy 400+gr pill being loaded ? sorry if this doesn't make sense its early

I don’t readily know the pressures for a 458SOCOM. But can a 458SOCOM reach out as far as a 450 Bushmaster? Maybe. Accurate? Depends on many variables.
The thing is, the 458 SOCOM has its own mission.
The 450 Bushmaster has its own mission.
Can a 450 Bushmaster shoot a 400 grain pill? Maybe. But what will a 400 grain pill do
That the 325Gr Barnes Buster that Timothy LeGendre used wouldn’t do?
Have you read that post?

It all comes down to…… In a bolt action, you could probably do a 400 grain pill.
But it’s velocity is gonna be like throwing a bowling ball. And whatever it hits, it’s gonna
Flatten it. LOL.

What's the reason for a 400+gr pill to be loaded?

Just use a solid copper like Barnes. No 400 needed IMO. ---- SAWMAN
