Need Bullseye Powder Loads for the 450

Need some Bullseye Powder loads for 300gr and over cast bullets. Loads to be used in a 95 Mauser 450 Bushmaster

don't think I ever heard of Bullseye being used in the 450.

According to QuickLoad, you can start with 13gr and work up. That's only about 58% case fill using the Lee C452-300-RF as a possible cast boolit candidate. QuickLoad is not into cast boolits nearly as much as jacketed, so there's little bullet selection to work with. I don't do cast boolits so I'm not sure if case fill is as important as jacketed bullets using slower powders. At 13gr, the predicted velocity is around 1367fps out of a 16 inch barrel.

With jacketed bullets, that powder IMHO, is too fast. From what I've read, cast boolits work OK with faster pistol powders but you need to slow things down a little with jacketed bullets. Subsonic is another area where I admit, I have no experience. I've always loaded for supersonic behavior. There are members here who excel at subsonic loads as well as some who have experience with cast boolits. Neither of those describe me. The heaviest jacketed bullets that I personally have loaded, were 325gr and with deference to as fast as safely possible.

The powder to use is Trail Boss for your bullets....give your self a mark on the case how deep your going to seat the bullet fill to that mark with powder or a little below.....weight it and load the rest....the load should be a little more than 1000 fps....

I've loaded many different calibers with Trail Boss its the best powder to ever come out for loading low velocity.....no reason to compress it you can load it with less powder if need be.....
Its a great powder for sub-sonic suppresser use.....

If you want a subsonic 450 Bushmaster you’d be better off building a AR 15 chambered for 45ACP. Just saying.
