I ordered 2! Cheaper then just the collet from lee! I may want to adjust my crimp.

If I'm ONLY gonna reload 250-300gr jacketed bullets... is it necessary for me to side crimp? ...or can I just settle for an under sized expander ball from my 45acp die set?

It's your call. The side crimp is just a much better crimp. It reduces bullet jump and holds just a weee bit longer to get thing cooking before letting go. Dfree did a side crimp on a factory round and reported a 100fps increase and a reduced vertical string. Sort of a good, better and best. So Far, This is the best way to go. Play safe and reduce your loads when going to this.
45acp expander?....New to me! I'll have to give it a try.

I'm just thinkin' tight... flat base bullets may not want to start straight if undersized but I have a single stage press; an RCBS Rockchucker, so one extra step is gonna really slow me down I can be convinced though cause this thread keeps me coming back

I dont have a need for it yet but soon. always rather have and not need than need and not have. so at this price i bought 3 so i have one for a spare and one to modify if needed
