I'm using 297 for the FTX's as well. Primarily because I still have about 10 pounds of it :) I load the 250 grain FTX over 40 grains of 297 for 2,200 fps. I think the cast will be capable of accuracy on a par with the FTX's out of this rifle if I can work out whats causing the flyers. I don't get those "strays" with the FTX loads.

FYI, 297 "IS" the factory powder, for the Hornady loading and thanks for clarifying that earlier post..
