Alliant AR-Comp powder source...

The reloaders amongst us might want to check out the grafs.com website, if you're interested in trying the new Alliant AR-Comp powder. They have it in stock, 1lb and 8lb sizes.

CF-

According to their web site, AR-Comp is also available at Powder Valley powdervalleyinc.com. Price is less than Grafs, but check on shipping, They're usually competitive.

Somebody did this for me recently, so I'm paying it forward. Here's the fat finger free URL for Powder Valley. ;)

FYI: It is re-formulated Reloder 15 and from a web sight.. Quote..""Burn Rate Like Varget: Though this is a reformulation of Reloder 15, the burn rate of AR-Comp is slightly faster than Reloder 15. Alliant told us: “Reloder 15 is slightly slower, in burn rate, than Varget. The new AR-Comp, with the enhancements, ended up slightly faster than Reloder 15, so it is now very close to Varget in burn rate”. This is the result of the “tuning” of the powder to be much less temp-sensitive."" end quote..

For the 223 and 308 and similar cartridges this will be great. For the 450b, it won't seal the case well and possibly give mixed results.

Don't you just love new and better stuff, I sure do..
