Reformed Hornady 350's

Postby Stealthshooter » Thu Aug 18, 2011 10:46 am

Well....My reformed Hornady 350's arrived today from Outlaw state bullets! They are sweet!! He took the round nose bullets and put a point on them and also resized them to .452 on the nose! The best part is I'm not going to loose any room for powder compared to the 300 grain ftx. I'm very pleased so far with His work! Here is a picture of a 350 next to one of my Blem 300's I received from Midway yesterday.

Are these available to anyone, or was this a special order you had made up. If a special order, is there any plan to produce them for general sale? How many bullets would we (those reading this board) need to commit to in order for them to produce them commerically? And finally, of course, what did they cost?

Will be looking forward to some reloading info and range data.

Please keep it on this thread!

He said he is willing to work with us on a mass buy. He is also willing to do these for anyone. He bought the bullets from his local Graff's and charged me $5 to shape and size them and $8 to ship. The total came to $41 for 50 bullets. I just checked Midway and it would cost $37 shipped from them.

Wow, that's very good and I like what he has done for that RN bullet. FYI, the 45 pro (the pre-450b) was originally designed for the 350 Hornady RN..

Any chance you could take a pic of a 250 next to the 350 for a size comparison?

I'm working on some home made 270 grainers as we speak.

Cool...a Reformed 350 next to an Orthodox 250...which one do you go with?

That 350 sure looks like it would fly right nice out of the 450b...when you need a bigger hammer. Let us know!
