450b Brass

Postby wildcatter » Wed Oct 05, 2011 12:23 pm

OK, what are you guys looking at? Who's got the best buy on our brass, right now today, as in, not last month. I see Mid-Way, who normally sells it at $44.95, has it on sale for $39.99/bx of 50. Bud's carries it for $37.87, but so what, they are not instock..

Tim, I assume you have your SOT on record with Midway. That combined with the sale price should get you a sweet deal, eh?

Earlier this year, someone found some for like $34.00 plus shipping, but I don't recall where.

Gunbroker has been good for me. You usually get cheaper shipping from the guys on here aswell because they will ship it the most inexpensive way through their local Post Office.

If you want it in stock, you're not going to beat the deal at Midway right now. I looked around also.

If all you were buying was brass you would save a little over $2 getting it from gunbroker due to the shipping costs.

I am still somewhat amazed the people are buying brass at around 75 to 80 cents per round, to which you have to add the cost of the bullet, powder, and primer - plus the time you will spend reloading, when you can buy 20 rounds of 450b from Palmetto State for a dollar a round and save the brass for free after you shoot it.

Or have I missed something?

Jim, some folks use for the 450b do not require such a heavy projectile and they would realize no benefit from having to shoot them first to gain use of the brass. That's my guess.
