The one caveat that remains is this... Can you use FMJs legally to take the particular game that you are pursuing? State laws vary. And as a hunter, it's your responsibility to know. This is where the use of FMJs gets ticklish. Hunters may have to discuss this issue with their state Game and Fish officials and maybe even petition to get the laws modified. But I don't think you will have too much resistance on the use of FMJs on feral hogs.

Hey James, your buying, right?

I can get them for you at my price since I work at Midway, but you'd still have to pay the shipping.

We did a ton of shooting yesterday. We performed experiments to see just what the 450 Bushmaster 230 gr FMJ FP, (Hornady), is capable of... AFTER it shot through the 7/16" steel plate.
Now that I have everyone's attention....(stay with the group, Bryan), there's more.
We also did some comparison shooting. We put the 450 Bushmaster up against the clavicle crushing African dangerous game rifle, the 416 Remington Magnum. 400 grain Soft Point against the steel plate ...... Lots of video to produce.
Stay tuned..... And Kottke_35.... stop drooling.

I'm dying to get back to editing. I finished the intro but I have to convert most of the video from .MOV to a Microsoft friendly format. That digital conversion takes forever.

I was pretty bad off on Sunday when we filmed, but we didn't let our allergies stop us from finding out whether or not the 450 Bushmaster still had enough to kill, once it had passed through that 7/16" steel plate. This video is 12 minutes long so enjoy.

Make shooting a family affair. It is a great way to fellowship.
You might hear shots in the background, but that was not our party. That was my neighbors. I think they were trying to figure out why their shots didn't ring out like ours.....
