I just finished painting a couple magazines with Brownell's Aluma Hyde II Coyote. I think it is a pretty good match, figured I would post a picture in case anyone else was looking for something similar.

There are some more pictures and a walk through here.

I've since painted the rest of the rifle, so I'll add some pictures of it once it cures and I get it back together.

Yeah, I'm happy with it, like I mentioned above, I've painted the rest of the rifle, but it is still curing. I think it is going to look good.

Have you tested resistance to gun solvents and cleaners? I use Strike-Hold as my main oil and brake clean ( red can) as a main cleaner. I tested a bunch of rattle can stuff, even the epoxies, and could not find anything that held up. The Strike- Hold would take it off like removing makeup.

I would love to see a 1 part that works.

I use CLP, so I don't have a lot experience with the stronger solvents. Once it has a little more time to set I will experiment with it some more.

DuraBake "HK Black" withstands some serious HFC and CFC solvents I have that take paint off like dry erase marker. I love DuraBake. Really hard to screw up. I apply it with airbrush kits I get from Harbor Freight. Cheap but effective.
