Just info you: several on the board here have or have had, 6.5Gs, and all were quite impressed, as far as I can tell. Its an excellent choice, to hear tell. I think Hoot and Texas Sheepdawg are experienced in these matters?

That's affirm.

I'm looking at doing the same. I have decided on a 20 inch barrel directly from Alaxender Arms. I'm going to lose about 70fps in factory ammo from a 24 inch tube as far as I can tell. Can't speak from experience, just ignorance. Going to build on a Rock River upper and lower receiver. Ross will be hearing from me for a brake, going with a magpul prs stock, timney trigger and yankee hill hand guard and gas tube.

Let us know how you come out! I'm interested.

Be thinking of a sweet little girls' name for your Grendel.
Mines name is Gretchen and she is one little sweetie!

So I finally got my grendel barrel. Now I have no cash to finish the project. Going to take baby steps to finish this one out.

What is the intended mission for this cartridge?

I mean if it's a "Just Because" Thing then I'm in, but I was wondering. What is the Draw and intended uses for the 6.5g??

Personally, Tim, I built mine for long range coyote vaporization and for sendero roaming scrappy Texas deer. And it gave me the chance to build my own AR from the ground up so I could learn the platform. Also, it gives me an extra rifle for guests. Once you pet her, you'll want to take her on a date.
