Hey Tim, it's looking like Colt took your idea in reverse?

In the December 2011 issue of American Rifleman. The top of Page 75 shows a photo of a Colt AR-10, with a caption explaining the new adaptor that will fit an AR-15 upper to the AR-10 lower.

What do you think?

Yup, this is proof that the Majors are listening to us. I thought this was a pretty good idea, but they don't actually offer it now or at least I have not seen it yet..

I've seen subsequent posts that there are some in circulation, but at a staggering $4900.00 price tag or thereabouts. Great idea, but a little out of my price class.

Cool. And almost affordable.

I believe that the price I saw was the complete enchilada, with both uppers, special carrying case, mags and sleeves. Certainly, if you don't want everything at once, you can spread out the cost over time.

You know, what's really going to tick them off? It'll be when I show their competitors how to make the 308 function and feed in an "AR15". That's right, an AR15, and I'm not talking about an AR10 type clone, either. And, at AR15 prices, to boot..

How cool would it be to spend a week going thru this guys toybox? An ar-15 in 308 would make me a very happy boy, I just can't make myself pull the trigger on an ar-10 or similar weapon.

I think it's been about a year since you posted your idea on a .308 AR-15 T. Any progress or pics to keep us drooling? Plus
I STILL WANT ONE please and thank you.

Hey Tim, as I promised, I have kept a slot open in my Pelican 1730 Transport case just specifically for that upper. How soon will you need it tested??? ;-)
