Yup and I like it, although brass, is getting tougher to find, as the years go buy.

Just a thought, the 450B almost equals it in all aspects and has many other positive attributes, in comparison, but then again, when one wants a fifty, then..............

A buddy here in Afghanistan suggested it to me a week or so ago and its been looking better and better every day... just really hard to find info on it. I like the idea of tossing a 750 BMG round at about 1700fps would be a nice 300yd moose gun LOL. I found brass at Starline for about $1 a case. If i get one i will have MGM make it for me for my Encore, i was thinking of putting some iron sights on it too since its not a "reach out and touch someone" round. Do you know of any good sites for the 50AK?
I already have the 450BM, 375HH, and a 338WM (all my big hitter rifles)

I have one on a 71 Browning, it's been my primary black bear blaster and like Catter I like it a lot. Pet load has been 66gr Benchmark and a 450gr Kodiak bullet, gives me all the thump I care for in a sitting.

I assume you mean a 750gr Bullet at 1700fps. If you're going to have a 12"+- Barrel, and with the powder Real-Estate that bullet length will occupy, you wont get anywhere near that velocity.

Don't get me wrong, this is a fine project. I have an applicable statement.."I can make a bowling ball, come out the end of an AR, but at that point the only thing in danger, are my toes"!

As Always, with mag loadings, start far lower and work up. These are typical loads, your results will be far different. Safety is YOUR Responsibility. If you don't know what your doing Don't-Do-This!!

Lol, yes 1700 is wishful thinking but if i get it, it will be a long work up to get a good load for a 750. I am honestly expecting 1500-1600 out of a 24" barrel (all my TC barrels are 24", i refuse to hunt with a TC pistol as its not true pistol hunting).

Thanks for the load data. It will give me some place to start when i get back.
