Won't ship to CA?

Postby B swift » Sun Aug 12, 2012 5:26 pm

 I just tried to order a set of take down pins and was denied on account of my zip code! :x

Sucks to be me today. I can buy ammo, uppers, AR specific scopes and mounts but not a stupid set of pins! Assault weapon "parts" can not be shipped to my state. What a bad joke.

Ugh...

Sounds like it's time for a ROAD TRIP!!!!

Is this a California State Law or is the vendor being extra careful? Since it's legal to own a "conforming" modern sporting rifle (which I assume have takedown pins) in California, I don't see why you can't get takedown pins. Or am I being logical?

At least you didn't try to buy a contraband bedspead that wasn't approved by the State Board of Bedspread Inspectors. You would have had the SBBI SWAT team at your house.

Sounds like you tried to order from cheaper than dirt. Try www.exilemachine.com or midwayusa.

Exile machine is Cali friendly and pretty active on calguns.

It's gotta be the vendor policy. I don't usually shop the Internet but being in a rural county I've never had an issue with "restrictions"... Aside from FFL transfers and 10 days in jail and background checks.

The restriction policy only applied to "assault weapon parts" @ www dot sportsmansguide dot com as far as I know.

I believe it was a year ago or so that I purchased some from Brownells.

I'm wondering if you searched for those pins by entering a brand in a search criteria window that is banned, such as Colt, etc...and perhaps that triggered the restriction.

Try e-bay. I just saw a set for $11.99 free shipping on there. Some other pretty cool looking ones too.

It might be hotter than a June Bug in a bug zapper during the summer, but it's still good to live here in the Lone Star State. I really hate that you guys have to suffer cuz stupid people get elected to office.
