450 w/leopold vs 6.5 wwII Mauser w/iron sights

Postby cptrifeg2 » Sun Oct 21, 2012 12:58 pm

So today was range day and I tested out some of the XTF 225's and XTF 300s from crouching/ stalking position at 100 meters with 9X40 Leopold. The drop was more sucificant than I thought it would be but who am I kidding..in deep forest im not shooting real far anyways. what really surprised me is my 6.5 swedish Husqy Mauser. No scope, iron sights, crouching same 100 meters..same target. granted I only took one -to-two second pauses with the the 450 v.s cycling a damn clunky as hell german bolt action but for a rifle built hastily in 1941 Husqy sure new how to make them shoot true.

That all looks like "minute-of-deer" to me! Nice work...
