i'm a newbie to the world of A3 receivers with standard front sight posts on uppers. question: do i just mount scope on receiver or do I need to do somenthing different to be able to either co-witness the front sight or "eliminate" it from my sight picture?

I have a riser on mine until I rebuilt the rifle and removed the front sight and installed a flush gas block. If I need BUIS, I just need to buy a front sight that mounts to the Picatinny rail on the hand guard. The rifle came with a YHM rear flip up sight.
