Well, due to the CDR in Chief being the best gun salesman of all time..I now have several projects going on at once. However I wanted to get this one done sooner than later. Due to the total backup of all gun items my drill block for scope mounting is on indef hold.. but here is where I am.
The stock has it's coat of stain and needs to dry for a few days before polycoating to make it shiny.

went with a dark red oak color

I love the grain of this stock

Here is the metal goodies and action/barrel baking with parker durabake. set for 200 degrees for four hours. It is shiny now but will have the dull parker look when cured..i hope..

I settled on a front a rear picitiny set over the action as I found out I hate LER scopes...
I thought I ordered a scope but I cant seem to find the invoice..oh well while it's cooking I start cleaning all of these up :)

This is just the 6.5 sporter build. The 338 build may happen this next summer..depending on a lot of factors related to gun control.../ ammo availability. The Dura bake does smell a bit while cooking but does not last past the curing process. Once I get the scope mounted this will be my fancy truck gun lol.
