Those bolts are hard to get, but a standardize bolt machined to take the head of our cartridge and then by using a 7.62x39 extractor as suggested will be your fix..

I could simply not be remembering correctly, but I thought that if you turn off some the bolt, you have to have it re-hardened?

WC, if I had a spare bolt I would like to know more on this, but who knows when a bolt might come up, at a fair price.

You CAN-NOT wait, these will be soon be long gone and you can only get just one at this price and considering the going price for one "In-Stock" is $200 Bucks. So, instead of grousing that you can't get one, well use the internet or grab this quick even if you are not ready for a conversion to your bolt..

WC, I ordered the 7.62X39 bolt and a 6.8 bolt and a couple of other items while I was there. Thanks for the recommendation. We can talk about the mod at a later time. Thanks again.

Had a little OT burning a hole in my pocket, so since my 6.5 Grendel uses a modded 7.62x39 bolt as well, I ordered a spare also and some of those Amax 123 and Interbond 129 grain .264 bullets. Stocked up on the .452 stuff the last blem sale, so left that for members in need.

Can a standard .223 bolt be converted to .450 Bushmaster?
