Dawg, you might take a look at the 300 blackout. I haven't went the pistol route yet, but I have a 16 inch carbine ar, and a rem 700 bolt gun, both of which I enjoy immensely. Standard mags, same bolt, brass is easy to buy, or convert from 5.56, .30 cal bullets are easy to find. I'm not saying its the greatest thing next to sliced bread, but it does perform pretty good. As an added bonus, should you get the urge to run suppressed, it really shines.
Go big... or go home.

Picked up my PSA Lower tonight. It's very nice. Can't wait to start putting it together this weekend. Already put the mag release in!

I own 3 PSA lowers. I built two of them up a couple years ago and the 3rd one sat in my safe for a couple of years and I just finally built it up a couple weeks ago. The quality is nice. The build is solid. Everything seems to be fine in each of the lowers. Fit and finish is nice.

The lower will be complete by this afternoon. I'm waiting on UPS for the final piece of the puzzle.

The goodies are starting to trickle in! The Pistol Upper is so close, I can smell it!

Also, I ordered a Franklin Billet upper and lower receiver two tone. Gretchen (6.5 Grendel) is about to get a MAJOR facelift! Here's a preview. In the picture the upper is desert smoke and the lower is OD green. I ordered mine to be the opposite.
