So. Who wants to tote a 12.4 pound rifle into the mountains? Let's discuss this.

Yeah Dawg,

That's an AR "Type" action. It's bigger than an AR10, being the mag holds 30-06 length cartridges i.e. the 458 win mag.

But cool, none the less. I for one, have carried twelve pound guns before and it ain't no fun..

I like it! Do I have a use for it? No. But it's been done and I like guns. Pretty cool in my book.

I guess I'm a wimp. LOL. That's cool though. And yeah, I bet that thing is fun to shoot and if you want to tote the weight and pay for ammo, you can seriously roll some piggies and all other manner of fauna with it. But @ over 14 pounds loaded..Geesh. I'm too old for that.

I handled one of the Nemo Omen rifles at a local Cabela's. It appears to be a well built gun and I liked the idea of having a semi-auto 300 win mag in the familiar AR platform.

That being said, the rifle was heavy and very expensive. If money was no object I might consider one just for the heck of it.

I guess I would be a wimp too. I only have one bull barreled rifle, and I don't like to tote it around very far. If you were used to carrying around a M1 it probably wouldn't be too much difference though. If money were no object.. oh man.
