Hello,

First time poster. I figured if anybody would have an answer regarding a 450 bushmaster question, it would be here. Does anybody make any kind of 450 upper for a kalashnikov? I have an ak 63 in 7.62x39 that can be used for this project.

Thanks for the info

As far as I know, no one has converted an AK to 450B. That would not be an easy project, even if you had access to your own machinery. You would need to make your own bolt, properly harden it, a custom cut barrel, convert the AK to take AR mags, and probably modify the feed ramp. That's just to get it built, who knows what it will take to actually get it running after that point.

If you hired someone, who knows what they're doing, that would be a VERY expensive ordeal.

if you can make an ak-12gauge that can handle 3" magnum slugs, someone should be able to make a 450 bushmaster work.

the problem is - its sooo easy to run one on an ar15 platform, and so economic - it would likely make the market for it pretty dang small even once you over came the engineering part of it. which pretty much means its likely to carry a hefty pricetag.

It would be no big deal to do an AK in 450 Bushmaster. I already did two in 458 SOCOM, one in 444 Marlin, and one in 375 JDJ.
I'll be doing one in 50 Beowulf shortly.

That said, I think most would consider it cost prohibitive if you're not making one for your own use.
