Posted: Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:32 pmInherited rem mod 788 from a lost cousin 2 yrs ago. Serial# runs to 1975 manufacture date. Bausch and laumb scope on it. Lots of elbow grease,steel wool and good oil made a keeper out of it. Was zero'd at 300yrds as I got it. Factory ammo 55gr federal bt hp. 1"-1.5" groups. Got 3 box with gun. I've never been a big Remington fan for whatever reason. Seems to be a pretty solid and dependable rifle. Does anyone have good or bad experiences with mod# 788's?
