Remington Ammo Cont....

Postby go2boats » Tue Feb 22, 2011 11:00 am

Called Remington this morning.........Ammo scheduled for February. They said only 100,000 rounds (each) scheduled for both the 250 &260 grain. But not to hold your breath....
Just because it's on the schedule doesn't mean it will run. Shutting down and re-tooling for a not so popular a cartridge ...compared to running the 30-06 and .22's ....it is not a priority.

But... I will keep calling just to see if I can get a straight answer on whether or not they are dropping it.

Seems some of you have better connections to the industry....maybe you have better sources for info...........Thanks..........

Might of spoke to soon, if you add the 450 rounds to your cart, they come up as 444 Marlin 240 grain sp

Dang, could be a false alarm. I just did a ammoseek.com search and they crawl over 26 distributors, including Cabela's and got a Zero on Remington 450b. Sorry..t

Forgive my skepticism, but for a product line having trouble making a safe, effective product to deliver, why would anyone wait with bated breath to be serial number one? Image

I picked up a box of slugs again. I weighed the bullets and there is significant weight variation -- 258.0 grains to 264.3 grains in the five samples. 3 of the five were in the 259.0 to 260.0 grains range.

Yes, Remington does have their issues. Now, they have another recall for the 22 Hornet ammo.

Just ordered a couple of boxes from Midway to try out myself. The $10 promotion code is good, more than offsets the shipping charge.
