Yeup, you read right.... Pse makes a crossbow upper that fits on to your standard ar-15 lower. Pretty crazy. http://tac15.com/

Theres also videos out there of people shooting. One guy shoots 100 yds dead on, bullseye.

That's been out for a little while now, I'm all for using an AR15 platform for many uses, but that seems awfully expensive to me....

If their claims are correct, then they are the best crossbow out there. The thing that stood out for me was that my 3# Timmny trigger will retain it's pull weight to launch the TAC 15 bolts.

Ive been watching for a used one at a price I can afford. Does anyone have a good reason not to get this? I'm all ears.

I can't think of any reasons other than price. Your correct on the trigger! Would be nice to have a crossbow with a decent trigger pull!

Handicap folks who have an AR 15 but bow hunt too? It extends their hunting season? I can think of those two very good reasons to consider getting one.

My friend bought his first crossbow last year and the owner of the store happened to be shooting the PSE Tac-15 when we picked my friend's crossbow. I saw the PSE in magazines and wanted to see just how fast it was. We both went outside and witnessed the store owner put a 3 shot group into 2 inches at 100 yards. Expensive yes, badass...no question!

A couple of us where debating about the PSE. How would the DNR (Dept. of Natural Res. here in Il.) look at it.
Legally, because of the Ar-15 lower receiver, you have in your possession a fire arm.
There're very srtict about that here, no fire arms on your possession while bow or crossbow hunting.
Any first hand knowledge or what do you guys think?

Isn't that violating one of your Constitutional Rights? The fish and game here don't like the fact people carry side arms on them while archery hunting but the people stood up and basically told them to poke it!
