OT: Why so few .17 Mach II Uppers?

Okay, so I guess this would be the antithesis of a big bore post, but I am curious: as popular as the .17 Mach II cartridge has become, why are there so few of them available as uppers for the AR platform? .22 Long Rifle uppers abound, but the only two that I can find in a .17 Mach II are made by Ballistic Advantage and Olympic Arms. Any thoughts?

I've heard of some squirrely performance from 17 mk II semi's. Maybe until the kinks are worked out in standard rifles most of the manufacturers don't want to risk a product that may get returned.

Case rupture is prominent problem that I have been hearing about as well as ammo price/availability.

Just a note that Remington recalled ALL there 17 cal. semi's. Major safety issue to shooter. Best to keep these rounds in manual operated arms.

Does that apply to the 17 HMR also? I have a Ruger 10/22 Mag converted to 17 HMR. Its around 5 years old and works as good as the day I converted it. I have a nickel on my bench at work with 5 holes in it, shot with that rifle at 100 yards. Above it is a piece of laber maker tape that reads

You may be one of the lucky ones but most the manufacturers have had problems with 22mag semi's and 17 HMR semi's.
