After reading some of the results here, I broke down and picked up a box of the 225gr .452 FTX today. Gonna trying them out and maybe load some for the 45ACP too, but I'm wondering. Would the .452 bullets be an issue in a 45ACP?
I also bought a box of .451 200 gr XTPs for my Glock.

I've loaded and shot the 225 FTX. I did not seat them all the way to the cannelure, but I am going to next time and maybe "squeeze" them a little harder using the taper crimp only, which seems to give adequate results versus the trouble to crimp twice. Here is some data (sorry that the columns don't line up too well).

I apologize for not recognizing your work before now.

Data is always appreciated and we need allot more.

Consider, that the 30-06 is well more than 100yrs old and we are still developing it. So, the work done now, on the 450, is work that is more needful than might at first be seen.

One thing, I'd caution, not to use a roll Crimp in the future. Remember, the case head-spaces off the case mouth and a roll-crimp will shorten the OAL and cause all manor of ills, to say nothing of possible safety concerns.

WC - thanks for the advice. I used the roll crimp because - well, because Hornady gives you this capability to do it in the seating die in the 4-die 450 BM set. But not only does it have the potential for the problem you noted, it is the devil to set up correctly, for me anyway.

I am sticking with the taper crimp in the future, and once I get the FCD die from Hoot, I will try this as a second crimp.

BTW, I have similar data for the 250 gr bullet. Is there any interest in posting this, or is the 250 a "known quantity?" And if it (and future data on other bullets) should be posted, what is the correct thread?
