Ballistic question

I have a quick question.
My normal rifle range was closed, and the one I stopped at only went to 50 yards.
I zeroed my scope at 50 yards.
Using factory Hornady 250 gr FTX what is the drop from 50 to 100 yards?

Thanks

Dennis

Using factory loads. At sea level. At 65 Degrees. With a scope 2 inches above the bore. For a 50 yard zero, the impact will be 0.2 inches low at 100 yards. For the heavy woods I hunt in, that is exactly how mine is set up.

Here's a Link to a great online ballistic calculator that I used to get your info.

Using Bullet Drop App on my iPhone, here is another
Ballistic chart. Hoots may be more accurate.

Hootster & TSD...thanks for the ballistics computer tips! Been looking for a handy one of those... :)

My own personal self, I've zeroed the Hornady and Remmy factory rounds at 25 yards, 'cuz with those two rounds, I can just hold dead on out to 240 yards and still be well within a "minute of deer", and even out to 300 yards, the holdover is easily manageable, if the wind is cooperating. Not that I'll ever be shooting at 300 yards...around this neck of the woods, anything over 75 yards is a long shot.

Great info! I'm going to load up some Horny 225gr FTXs using existing data on the forum here, on the hot side (carefully, of course) and see what the computer says they should be doing.

(sorry about all the edits...my fingers seem to be a tad disobedient today... :( )

Don't forget that Hornady has their own ballistic computer at http://www.hornady.com/ballistics-resource/ballistics-calculator. They have just updated it, too.

Here is the "cheat sheet" it generated for the 250 gr bullet at 100 yd zero:

I think this has already been answered, but I searched and couldn't find the answer, so...
:?:
What is the difference in muzzle velocity between the 16" and 20" with the factory 250 loads?

I believe T told me during one of our many conversations the increase on a 20" is about 126 FPS.
