After correcting the issue and putting my dia back into operation I was careful to cycle it slowly..a little to slowly as I caused enough time elapse when applying the new primer for the.primer cup to.catch and flip/ invert the damn primers installing them backwards.....

Looking at the image of the removed case, was it a split case or is that just a scratch? Trying to understand why it stuck in the first place. The case head area didn't look like it took a lot of resizing. That's where I usually see the most friction. BTW, I love my Lee hand primer.

the case was scratched, I had some problems with with some deep curls feeding properly. I made the mistake of swaging the COL rather than actually measuring. I'm not sure if I had them too short or too long but I had several miss feeds and double feeds. As it turns out, Im not shooting buffalo or bigfoot or elephants so Ill just stick with the hornady 225s and 250s which I've had no problem with and seem to blow through deer and hogs like butter. Anyways you were right hoot, I didn't inspect the case closely enough and should have tossed it just to be safe. I do get pressure at the bottom of the case occasionally when resizing but no obvious ledge like depicted in the over pressure pics. I'm picking up the wax. right now instead of oil for the die I'm using MK19 bolt head lube (a very viscus lube for high pressure metal on metal.) seems to work.

I have some with the primer in backwards that are loaded due to talking on the phone while reloading.....

...I now place my cases rimside up after re-primer just so I can audit my work multiple times before filling with powder..


I had a Soldier bend and stick a MK19 round in the chamber. while the warhead had obviously not spun to activate it will still go up if the tube is blocked under pressure. I used a ceramic drill bit next to the primer making sure to go slow... no heat. repeated this 3 times around the case, the SASS guys had primer extraction tool you hook in the holes..pretty cool but I never want to do it again..thats enough boom to kill a 20 meter area.
