Are any of you guys/gals using the new CFE223 powder? I just got an 8lb. keg of it and haven't yet begun to work up loads. Hodgdon says its good for .223, & .308. Can any of you confirm or deny?

Regards, & thanks,

I know plenty of folks who use it in 223, 308, 6.5 Grendel, to mention a few and to a person, they love it. Good velocity and of course the copper thing. It still creates carbon, so you still have to clean and I do not how favorably if behaves as a function of temperature. I have not tried it, but it is on my short list of wanna-tries.

I tried a pound. Was not overly impressed. In .223, all of the bullets I use, at the velocity I want them, had better accuracy with other powders. Not bad at all, just not "amazing".

I've recently started to use it for my 6.5 Grendel with good results.
