Has anyone had any experience with 250 grain Thompson center shock wave bullets, they mic .452?

Welcome Davey,

Using .452" bullets are just fine and quite normal. The Barrel spec is .4515". Which is 1-2.5 thousandth. Meaning that .0005" you are worried about being a mire fraction of a human hair. everybody here uses ,452" bullets with perfect safety. Of Course they also adhere to standard safety Protocols.

Get a loading manual and read up on the topic of reloading, usually in the front of the manual.

You'll find a plethora of information, sure to settle many of your questions..

the 250gr yellow tipped SW's are the same bullet as the 250gr red tipped FTX, the blue tipped SW's are bonded, but same profile and construction. I have shot all 3 with no change in loads or accuracy.

The Barnes TEZ ML bullet is on my to try list once warm weather gets here, but they are a bit longer in length with that blue tip, so powder space will be a issue I know. I have high hopes for that bullet and the bonded SW in my bolt gun project once it gets rolling.

While I was using hornady taper crimp die, I found putting a little rcbs resizing lube on cases seem to help with the process, is there any problems with this, I clean the of lube with a cloth and a little alcohol so when firing cases grip chamber. Please comment on this. Thank you

Other than sizing cases, I have not found the need for any lube in the reloading process for the 450.

I've never tried lubing to make a more uniformly applied taper crimp, but it makes sense. I mean, you have a forcing cone sliding over the brass surface. Stands to reason that a little lube would make that go better. However, not only is it important to clean the lubricant off the case, it is equally important to make sure none got squeegeed down into the mouth between it and the bullet prior to the edge getting bent inward. I realize that's an esoteric concern. Just throwing my 2¢ worth in.
