.450 Bushmaster barrel for Bull Pup(s)?

Postby Kobyashu » Sat Mar 21, 2015 9:44 am

I am curious if anyone has seen a conversion for some of the .223 bull pups? Or if there was any interest in such. I was looking (drooling really) over a IWI Tavor and Kel-Tech RFB, earlier in the week, and thought "What a great package for hunting, if only it came in .450 bushmaster..." If there was ANY chance that this might happen, I figured the assembled group here might weigh in with their thoughts... So, any interest?

The reason I ask, is that my older brother, after our latest pig hunt/time at the range, has been infected with the .450 bushy disease, and has the tooling/expertise available to make something like this. He is getting ready to retire (aka - has a lot of time on his hands to experiment and play), and I'm hoping that there might be a possible demand for this type of conversion. I get to play with the experiments too... :-)

Two things, I love the idea of a bullpup, but, if you have a blow up, where is your face in relation to the action?

And tell your brother Midway has uppers at unbelievable prices! But this won't be around long..

Two words, "muzzle blast." Anything that puts your face closer to the business end of a 450 needs to be carefully considered.

10-4 you got that right! But if'n y'all can get past our bug-ah-boos, then you're sure to be rewarded with a great system..

You might want to look at Franklin Armory's XO26.
