More information needed.
Specific bullet model will make a difference as well as seating depth.

Call me old fashioned but for the 250 FTX, loaded to 2.25 COL, I use .476 inches, carefully measured at the mouth.
For cannelured bullets like the 200 and 225FTX, I seat them to almost bury the entire cannelure and crimp to .474-.475 inches.

In Theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In Practice, there is.

taper crimped to somewhere around 0.474-0.476 seems to be the magic number.

you'll have to test to find what your firearm likes best.

currently i'm using 0.475 for my loads, both the 225 ftx and the 250 ftx

I taper crimp to .474”. Never ever roll crimp. This round headspaces on the case mouth.

I am using a side crimp within 1/8 inch of the case mouth followed by a taper crimp (to remove any "belling" at the cases mouth introduced by the side crimp) to .474 to .476" measured at the case mouth.
