200gr ftx w/lil gun

Can I start at 35gr lil guy using 200gr ftx ?

I have no experience with the 200gr FTX, but I would think at least 38gr of Lilgun, if not 40gr. Hodgdon has 38gr of Lilgun as a start for the 225 FTX. I have started the 225 FTX at 36gr without an issue, but usually end up in the 38gr-40gr area, depending on which barrel I'm using.

Yes you can but as BMT85 noted, you don't need to go to that low of a start charge for safety reasons. In my carbine length gas system upper, it cycled them at that charge just fine. If you are using a longer gas system, you might want to try a few when its as cool out as when you are likely to use them, to make sure they cycle, before committing a bunch of them in advance.

FWIW, my carbine sampled upper was broken in and the action lubed up with MoS bearing, grease. Given the role that friction plays in reliable cycling, I can't say how well a dry, unbroken in upper will do.
