Anyone tried these Hornady’s?

Postby Decoy Defender » Tue Oct 22, 2019 5:57 pm

With all the info out there regarding Hornady FTX billets shedding their jackets and coming apart, I went on the hunt for something better. As stated in a different thread, I recently ordered some Speer 250 and 300 deep curls. I also found these but they were twice the price.

correction..I can’t upload picture from my phone. Not that tech savvy. I’ll try to find the link instead

Those are the new interlocks, just came out. No ones tested them yet. They should be better than the FTX’s. The FTX’s are a standard cup and core bullet, the reason why they shed their jacket. The interlocks are made in a way that the jacket basically locks the core in, hence the name. They are not bonded, so there might still be a chance for jacket core separation, but it is reduced.

After I posted this topic, I saw that there was already a thread started about these in the 450 reloading page. Couldn’t figure out how to delete this one. Sorry.
