Non-lead bullets

First, a shoutout to Hoot. I just tumbled some brass with the pins you sent me and they came out as yellow and shiny as ever! Thanks again for all the advice and help. (I know it’s been a while, but I couldn’t help but have a kind thought as I separated brass from stainless…)

Maybe there’s already a thread? But my search-foo is not strong and I don’t see what I’m looking for. My daughter-in-law is a bit… sensitive. I love her dearly, but 1) she’s new to this game 2) she was raised in the Chicago area by semi-treehuggers (so it’s remarkable that she hunts with us and genuinely enjoys it). Did I mention that last week at five-stand she broke doubles at four different stations on one round? Pretty proud of her.

She has requested copper solids for deer hunting, so I’m looking for suggestions on bullets and loads that you all like. I realize finding components will be challenging, but she’s patient and will hunt with my Hornady FTX loads until I can make her some of her own. If you have a suggestion for copper solids also in 350 Legend, I’d like to know about that, too.

Cutting Edge Bullets has a few offerings. https://cuttingedgebullets.com/shop/cut ... caliber=65 I've shot the 250gr Maximus on paper, accurate, but no hair test. Coyote Whacker speaks highly of the 160gr.

their 350 offering https://cuttingedgebullets.com/355-160g ... aptor-50ct

Hammer has this one https://hammerbullets.com/product-tag/452/ I've never tired any of their bullets but they seem to have a loyal following with thier bullet lines.

They also have a .355 bullet for the Legend https://hammerbullets.com/product-tag/355-legend/

Bear Creek Ballistics has a good one https://bearcreekballistics.com/product ... g-bullets/

they also have a .355 bullet https://bearcreekballistics.com/product ... g-bullets/ and https://bearcreekballistics.com/product ... n-bullets/

Last year I used these on a doe from my 45 Raptor https://lehighdefense.com/452-diameter- ... count.html very impressive. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17093

Thank you. I’ll try some of those. One source you listed even has a trial pack of just a few.

another option if your shooting a bolt or single shot and have deep pockets  https://parkerproductionsinc.com/

The Black Max and Match Hunters have been the most accurate bullet I have shot from my #1 450 and 45 Raptor. The Ballistic Extreme has been my go to bullet in my ML's for years.

Right now Cutting Edge Bullets has a 20% off sale....https://cuttingedgebullets.com/

I do brag, boost and just say how great Cutting Edge Bullets are....every animal I've shot with a CEB bullet are dead very quickly most are DRT....not only are they deadly on game I have yet to shoot them in a gun that didn't shoot better than any other bullet....they may not be the cheapest bullet made but there is no other made like them....

The most important piece in harvesting game is the bullet itself....I can say I've made some poor shots on game that a Cutting Edge Bullet was the difference in a clean fast recovery....

High praise for those. I think I’ll get a few and see if she likes them.
