3-D Printing

Postby Moiecol » Fri Dec 08, 2023 11:19 pm

This is a powder dispenser my son printed up for me. The bottom half has a compartment filled with bb's so I can turn the knob without moving the dispenser. The tube is angled slightly and it has an internal auger to move the powder downward. It is slick as a whistle to use but I did lightly sand the two port holes so it would rotate smoothly. It took 1 hour make, used 48 grams of filament and material cost was $1.15

Very nice !

Is the tube at a slight angle where the powder comes out ? If so a good improvement over mine that over 50 years old.....

That is correct, the auger part helps but I figure that the angle helps by keeping the tube from backing out.

have him make you a crank handle for it, make dispensing a lot easier on you than twisting the knob around over and over.
