I worked on
this thread to help people contemplating the 200 FTX. My main effort was with Alliant 2400 and it works well, despite pressure stacking up quickly as loads increase. There are accuracy nodes about every two grains increase in charge. I recently started working with Lil Gun and have not uploaded my latest data to
that thread. Though the velocity increase is much slower per grain of powder increase, I've yet to encounter pressure signs. Once I get some
more brass, I plan on continuing my work with Lil Gun. Check that thread now and then for continuing updates. In all the FTX bullets I'm working with, max velocity is not the order of the day as they over-expand at velocities above about 2000fps. Given their poor BCs, the ideal muzzle velocity to deliver 2000fps at 100 yards is between 2200-2300fps. If you intend to use it at 200 yards, then by all means, load it up higher. I bought mine for a brush (<100 yds) gun for deer myself.
