OK, some interest out there. The dates for the show are May 2 - 5, 2013 at the HR Brown Convention Center (I think - this is where it was last time - could also be at Reliant Center) in Houston, TX. The announcement on the NRA website can be found at http://home.nra.org/#/nraorg/custom/annualMeetings_channelChange. There is no detailed info on exhibitors for 2013, but information from 2012 can be found at http://nraam.com, which includes a floor plan for the exhibit hall for 2013.

If we wanted to do a booth (min size is 10x10) to display a couple of rifles, ammunition, maybe a reloading demo, pass out some cards to promote the net, etc., it looks like we would need a couple of hundred dollars and volunteers to man the booth during the three days of the convention. An alternative might be to get Bushmaster, Hornady (or someone else - see the earlier post) to volunteer us some space.

Anyway, we have time to do some planning. Anyone out there work for Bushmaster or Hornady, who could be a point of contact with them for some support? I will continue to follow what is happening with NRA and investigate the possibilities with American Shooting Center.

I really don't think anyone here works for Bushmaster, reason being that I haven't been visited by Vinny and Cappy with a baseball bat and duct tape.

OK, anyone plan to be in Houston on the weekend for the NRA Annual Conference? I will be working member registration from noon to 6 pm on Friday and the NRA store from noon to 6 on Saturday. Stop by and say hello. I'll be wearing my "Thumper" T-shirt.

If you want to get together in a more convivial venue involving fermented grain and ethnic cuisine (beer and taco's or bbq) post it here. I'm sure we can work something out.

Boy, I've pretty mush scraped my plans to go, now I wanna again.

OK, I'll make a decision on Friday, my Father-in-law is all heads up to go and he was disappointed when I told him I had too much work in the Lab to be able to go..

To quote Ferris Bueller ( sort of)
" Life comes at you pretty fast, if you stop to take a look around
once in awhile, you just might miss it."

Looking forward to seeing you there Tim & Jim.

'Dawg, any chance that you'll make the drive?

Hoping to talk a buddy into going, and maybe the range after.

Unfortunately, I can't make it. I have major projects underway at my plant and I have to be there & be available in the event of any problems. Wished I could, but even if I tried, the boss would say absolutely not.
But you guys have fun and tell us all about it.
