Good public deer hunting michigan or wisconsin?

Well my wonderful Michigan deer hunt on 300 acres in the upper peninsula fell through..Anyone know of any good public spots? I've never hunted public land before...I live in Indiana and will fill my tags here but I like the northern states that allow long rifles as im the only one in the group with a 450 .

I also am wondering about wild boar hunts that arent 900 miles away from Indy . Please give any thoughts or feed back as Nov 15-17 (the beginning of most state deer seasons) is upon us .. I forgot to mention..I'm cheap so cheaper is better.
